Caught up in the Festive Spirit

Seasons greetings! I didn't blog for 12 whole days. Obviously, this was to represent the 12 days of Christmas song....
Okay as this is my favourite time of year, I was too happy eating roast potatoes and laughing too hard at cracker jokes and smiling and using Christmas magic as an excuse to throw glitter at my family. Such Fun

Other than my gifts which I will give you details on (aahh in 2014) I'd like to go all mushy and tell you what I'm grateful for this year x

What are you thankful for this year? What is your favourite memory?
I hope you have a wonderful new year if you're partying hard (ha-ha is that what the cool kids say?) or in your jammies listening to the radio, eating left over turkey (which you should have finished by now.)

✰ Stocking Fillers ✰

Yes those wonderful hanging things that we are always tempted to wear as socks....(okay just me then.)
I received one as a gift the other day and was wondering what I could fill my family's with x

Haha, my cute little stocking

Did I spell goddess wrong?

oooh shiny ....

A scarf is also a nice idea, and I guess you can squash it in.

So I hope I have given you some stockingspiration haha

Yo Santa!

Haha, hello Santa, I love your boots!
I'm feeling all Christmassy after decorating the tree. As usual, I had the problem with sticking the star on the top but I succeeded (thank you higher powers for sellotape!)

Oh and hello lovely people who read my blog, I'd like to share all that I would like for Christmas with you, other than world peace that is (which I think would be quite hard to wrap.)

A Totes amazing (sorry) tote bag
Tan Colour Block Winged Tote Bag
£15.99
New Look

My current rucksack, though it was great value, is breaking from the straps. And I am also quite fond of the colour tan.
Of course, I am not hinting to my loved ones or anything..muhahahahaha

What would you like for Christmas?
I'll have  a word with the big man

Soppy movies

Around this time of year, we all usually end up around the TV with a huge snug blanket and lots of ice-cream, even though it's -26 degrees outside, but we don't care because it's Christmas!
We do always end up watching the same films every year, but that's because they're brilliant! I'd like to share my favourite soppy Christmas films with you x

Home Alone

I love the first film. This is my favourite scene!

Everything Disney, particularly Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas

This short film is really funny and I love the wittle ducks!

White Christmas 1954

For me, this is a classic. From above, you can tell it is quite funny and bing Crosby is my favourite!

Elf

Heehee, Will Ferrell is my favourite comedian and this is my favourite Christmas film ever. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend this the most.  Buddy the elf, who was named by the humans after a Dyper brand will have you asking "What's your favourite colour?" to everyone you know! I have watched it so many times that I can say the lines the same time as the characters!

Jack Frost

This film gave me the creeps when I was little but hey, there's snow and guitars and the cool guy with the hat. What's not to like?

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone

YAY! Trust a Potterhead to put a Harry Potter film in her choice! I think it's Hogwarts, the snow, the tree and Dumbledore (a.k.a the real slim santa please stand up).

Mrs Miracle
Wahoo, Mrs Miracle! This is a love story about a lady fixing up a couple. It's very sweet and perfect for Christmas. Also, Doris Roberts (above) played Marie in one of my favourite TV shows ever, Everybody Loves Raymond.

Snow Dogs

And what is the sleigh without the reindeers...well in this case the snow dogs. Cuba Gooding Jr is awesome in this film and it's also great if you like wittle furry wanimals (I told you this would be soppy.)

And before you all kill me (metaphorically) because one of your favourite Christmas films has been left out, feel free (seriously it's free) to comment below x
Have you seen any of the films I've mentioned and if so, what's your favourite?
I hope you're feeling all chrismassy and have some inspiration of your Christmas movie list.
And as they chanted in the "A Team," movie movie movie

All i want....to give for christmas

YAY it's the first of December, can I get a hell yeah (or not)
Question: WHERE IS THE SNOW ALREADY!!
The year has really gone so quickly and I remember Christmas shopping last year!

Of course, bound by the norms of blogging society, I promise to share with you what I want for Christmas. However, I think it's quite important to think about giving to others around this time of year.

GRAB A COAT
Age Uk is having an auction of famous celebrities coats where your donations can help folks keep warm this winter. The auction opens today!
You can also donate your old coats to charity shops and while your there, get all thrifty and buy yourself a new one.

GIVE TO OTHERS
Some charities are also more Christmas related like
They use donations to give people anything from a good Christmas dinner (which we all love) to university starter kits so people can have a good start to the new year.

Give to your friends and family

Your friends and family are also very important and need to be appreciated. Who has done something special for you this year? Who deserves a treat?
And if you can't afford or don't have the time to buy everyone in e.g. your friendship  group a present, Secret Santa
is a great way to spread the Christmas cheer and ensure everyone feels loved...awww
And below are some quirky ideas!

So I hope you are embracing the Christmas spirit and spreading Christmas cheer
